Established in 1975, Strathendrick RFC has built its strength and survival on youth with thriving Mini & Youth sections producing many accomplished adult players over the years; a significant number of whom have gone on to play for clubs at a higher level. Past players include Scottish international Rory Kerr and current Scotland 7’s captain Colin Gregor
In 2000, guided by coach David Barrett, the senior team reached the semi-final of the Scottish Cup. This was a phenomenal achievement with the team beating Gala, Stewarts Melville and a number of other notable names on the journey, all whilst Strathendrick resided in the 10th Division of Scottish Rugby. In 2011, the team reached the final of the SRU Shield at Murrayfield where they lost out to Duns in a memorable day for the Club and the local community. The Mini section continues to attract players from all around the district and provides a fun and welcoming introduction to the game. The Club hosts a huge Charity Tournament in the spring with over 14 Clubs and 400 players attending. A very warm welcome is extended to anyone with in an interest in rugby to come along and get involved.
